Two Guys Walk Into A Bar

A New Regular Feature from Zeus News

Featured Cocktails this week are the Magellan Oasis and the Roux Bomb.

The Oasis begins with Magellan Gin. Distinct in coloring and bottle, Magellan is hand-crafted by small batches at the Agneac Distillery in France. 11 botanicals, including cinnamon, nutmeg, and iris (which gives Magellan its unique color) are used during the distillation process to create a complex yet balanced flavor. Magellan is delicious on its own or with a splash of tonic. Friday night at the Lion we will be featuring the Oasis.

Magellan Oasis
1 1/2 oz. Magellan Gin
1/2 ounce blue curacao
Club Soda to balance

Built over ice in a highball glass, then garnished with lemon and a sprig of mint. This bright blue shining pool is as refreshing as it looks.

The Roux Bomb is best described as the "Jager Bomb refined". The base for this drink is
Elisir M.P. Roux. A captivating liqueur, it is a unique marriage of hand picked botanicals and carefully selected aromatic herbs and spices from around the world. Included in the ingredients are marjoram, hyssop, coriander, bitter almond, garden balsam, wild angelica, lemon peel, star anise, ginseng and damiana.
Eliser M.P. Roux is wonderful on ice as an apertif or digestif. This Saturday night, try it in a Golden Lion original, the Roux Bomb:

Roux Bomb
1 1/2 oz Eliser M.P. Roux
2 oz Rockstar energy drink

Generally taken at once rather than sipped, the flavorful combination is sure to get you dancing under the stars.
