Saturday September 18 starting at 5pm. This is fund-raising and auction event, happily sponsored by the Golden Lion Cafe. Music by Joe Atti & others. Silent Auction 5pm-7pm. What is International Talk Like A Pirate Day?

Talk Like A Pirate Day is an original concept created in a moment of temporary insanity by John Baur and Mark Summers. What once was a goofy idea celebrated by a handful of friends has turned into an international phenomenon that shows no sign of letting up. At the Lion, we will be encouraging guests and employees to add a little pirate flair for the day. Any customers arriving in pirate gear will receive a free cup of Navy grog! This will be our third year celebrating this fun event. This year we will have the folks from Sailor Jerry doing promos!
