The British Shoppe specializes in British food & beverage and also offers many decorative items. Stop in for some delicious dessert items!

Bike Night & Poker Walk for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

It's almost the weekend again!!! It's First Friday, which means there will be a special event at Veteran's Park in Flagler Beach. There is info below about this month's event, to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. While you're here at the beach, stop by Flagler's most awarded restaurant!

Bike Night & Poker Walk for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Flagler Beach Downtown Re-Development and the Flagler Beach Chamber of Commerce along with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation invite you to a 'Bike Night & Poker Walk' on Friday, June 5 at Veterans Park (Flagler Beach). The poker game will be $10 per hand to enter (must be 21 years of age or older to enter). There will be special motorcycle parking off State Road 100 at Veterans Park as well as music, vendors, food and beverages. For more information contact John Rogell at 386.527.8884. We hope you will participate in this worthy cause.

Are you a fan of wraps? Our Buffalo Chicken Wrap is a unique and terrific flavor combination. Start with golden fried chicken tenders, toss them in Buffalo wing sauce then wrap them up with out house made cole slaw. What a great combination. Served with tri-color tortilla chips and salsa, the Buffalo Chicken Wrap makes a great lunch or a light dinner. Enjoy!

Hello from the King Of The Beach! We would like to tell you that, among all the rain this week, the sun is shining bright over the Golden Lion. Not true. It has been dismal for all of the area the last few days. The good news is: Denny Treanor says it's almost over!!! The forecast says the weather will be improving all weekend. Never fear, we have comfortable covered seating waiting for you.

Who Is That Guy With The Microphone?

Regulars have grown used to it. Newcomers always ask. Every Saturday around 4pm, Paul Hunt can be seen roaming around the Golden Lion with his microphone. Mr. Hunt is the "Man On The Beach" for WNZF Radio. He conducts interviews with customers and sometimes the staff about everything from favorite Golden Lion menu items, to internet dating stories, to hot button political issues. During the week, portions of these interviews are aired on WNZF as promotional pieces. So, if you see this guy you might just get to be on the radio! After Paul finishes his interviews, he can be found spinning Saturday Night Oldies from 7pm-10pm at WNZF.

Paul Hunt, WNZF's "Man On The Beach", interviews a group of Matanzas High School students recently at the Golden Lion.

Now if you see him, you can surprise HIM by saying "I heard about you in Zeus News!"

Happy Thursday from your favorite beachside restaurant! This weekend will be warm and jumping at the Golden Lion Cafe! Don't miss out! Friday Night we will host the Flagler County Realtors Association for their "Flip Flops In Flagler" social event. Saturday Night is our nearly famous full moon luau, complete with hula hoop contests, tiki drinks, and tropical attire. Bring out your best grass skirt!
