A.C.S. Names Golden Lion "Business Of The Year"

At September 23rd's American Cancer Society installation dinner, we proudly received the Business Of The Year award for 2010. The Golden Lion is happy to have been involved in the Inaugural Flagler Beach Relay for Life as a team and as a site for committee meetings. Many thanks to the American Cancer Society for this honor!

Mark your calendars for October 30th, which will be our Halloween Party. This will be a Golden Lion Halloween Party like no other as we combine our Bonfire Beach Party and Halloween Costume Party. There will be a bonfire on the beach, yoga, drum circle, and more! Meanwhile, across the street we will be featuring Island Grooves by High Energy and our costume party! This event will be a fundraiser for the Flagler Beach Junior Lifeguard Program.

Beginning on Saturday August 28th on the Golden Lion Beach between North 5th. and North 6th street, Flagler Beach, there will be beach Volleyball competitions every weekend.
This series of friendly & fun olleyball events for all ages will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 6.00pm.We are pleased to offer your team....

A well maintained, organized, clean beach on which to play every weekend. A
relaxed beach side atmosphere suitable for all players.
A properly laid out
court with the use of free volleyballs.
A table with free soft drinks,

Talk Like A Pirate Day is an original concept created in a moment of temporary insanity by John Baur and Mark Summers. What once was a goofy idea celebrated by a handful of friends has turned into an international phenomenon that shows no sign of letting up. Labor Day Weekend!

Is it Labor Day Weekend already? Difficult to believe, but it can be felt on Flagler Beach. First the teachers went back to school, then the little cubs went back to school, then the college cubs went back to school. We are in the peak of hurricane season (and have happily waved to Danielle & Earl as they passed WAY off our coast) and the air is changing ever so slightly. Don't worry though, we don't say goodbye to summer this early. We're keeping the party going!

Please note, The Golden Lion wants you to enjoy yourselves this weekend. We are being told the rip current risk is very high this weekend. Be safe!
